Ukcareers, the jobs board group in the UK have spotted a growing trend on overseas recruitment agencies pinching some of the best talent from UK companies.  Some of the most popular destinations for recruitment consultants include Australia, New Zealand and Dubai. 

Attracted by tax free earnings, sunny climates and alternative lifestyles it all looks pretty attractive amidst the economic gloom of the UK, not to mention the weather!

New research by Antal international shows that hiring trends in the rest of the world are better than ever.  Looking at 1500 firms in 14 countries, many of these countries showed that over 80% of companies had plans to expend and recruitment new management heads over the next 3 months.  These figures compared with only just over 30% planning to recruit in the UK.

It's unlikely the UK market will recover in the next few months so recruitment agencies may have to become more creative if they are to retain the consultants who can win them business over the next 12 months.
